We focus on the provision of entrepreneurial skills training in the business environment through skills programs, mentorships, and coaching based on the ILO methodology. CESDEV will develop and provide solutions in Business Entrepreneurship skills programs, Leadership, and Business Development Programmes, including the crucial soft skills required to ensure successful business growth.
The South Sudanese agricultural sector has great potential for driving economic growth in the whole country, but it requires support. Approximately 80% of South Sudanese’s population works in agriculture, but the sector is fraught with challenges, including low productivity and underdeveloped markets. By working together towards solving these problems and promoting positive food system transformations, we seek to boost and strengthen women and youth agribusinesses.
We seek to provide a system for integrating farmers in food market systems, delivering access to market, inputs, and technical assistance in a commercially sustainable way that allows actors to profit and scale up their agricultural value chain enterprises.
We seek to increase the capacity of impoverished women and youth to manage their financial resources and withstand shocks to their livelihoods by providing access to basic financial services, increasing their capacity to generate income, manage their financial resources, and to cope with external shocks in a positive manner through Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs).
We focus on the delivery of community and center-based vocational training skills training based on the standard module training curriculum prescribed by MoL. The offered courses include; Carpentry & Woodcraft, Building & Construction, Plumbing, Tailoring, Fashion and Design, Catering, Electrical & Wiring installation, Hairdressing, Beauty & cosmetics, and Welding.
